Nemo with Katya, Joe and Donovan

Katya of Dayton researched dog breeds for two years while she was finishing nursing school. She decided on a greyhound, waited until she had a good job, and adopted Dez, whose new name is Nemo, on lucky Friday the 13th. The rest of the family is thrilled with Nemo, including dad Joe, brother Donovan, and mom Germaine who couldn't be present for the photo. Nemo was instantly fascinated by his own image in a mirror: "Why won't that dog play with me?" He pretended he couldn't do stairs (even though he could at his foster home), but we called his bluff and his second trip up he zoomed on his own. This is a smart dog who will keep his new family on their toes!
